With a history as a renowned art gallery, the Casa is an architecturally-designed eco escape, situated in a beautiful natural environment. The overall style of the Casa is inspired by the warmth and imperfect character of Mediterranean farmhouses. With a palette that is nature-inspired, the materiality is earthy with organic shapes, raw textures and contemporary touches.
The guest experience at the Casa mirrors the uniqueness of Kangaroo Valley’s local spirit, history and dramatic surrounding landscape. A connection with nature allows our guests to step back from their fast-paced lives and enjoy the calm, serenity and peace that is at the heart of the Casa. Our starting point is how we want our guests to ‘feel’ from the moment they arrive at the Casa through to the lasting memories they take with them when they leave.
The Casa is surrounded by 8 acres of ‘park like’ grounds with an unrivalled perspective of the mountains and extensive views of Kangaroo Valley’s Red Rocks escarpment that glows red and orange at sunset. Beautiful trees including magnolias, citrus trees and majestic gums, provide a colourful show all throughout the year with blossoms in spring, abundant fruit trees in summer, colourful autumn leaves and camellias in the winter months. Abundant wildlife enjoy wandering about and if you are quiet you will spy wombats, echidnas and kangaroos on the property at dawn and dusk.
The living area is grand space with 6 metre high cathedral ceilings and floor to ceiling glass. Slide open the bi-fold doors for that beautiful indoor / outdoor experience flowing onto the arc courtyard. The north-facing orientation means you will enjoy sun streaming in and warming you in the winter months along with a wood-fired heater in this area.
The Casa’s 6 bedrooms all include beautiful linen. The master bedroom features a stunning 4-poster bed, sunroom and full en-suite with bath. The two family rooms have their own en-suites and separate entrance with dappled sunlight from the north. The two queen bedrooms look out to the arc courtyard and acreage beyond. The bunk room is spacious with two sets of single loft and queen beds.
Cook yourself up a feast in the true heart of the Casa, the kitchen, and share food and laughter with loved ones in the beautiful, intimate dining space. A grand loft space that has stunning views of the Red Rock escarpment and flows out to the undercover gallery deck. Lounge on the generous sofa while you take in the natural surrounds or challenge your friends to a fun game of pool on the custom-designed billiard table.
