WHAT IS THE CHAMBER?

Kangaroo Valley Chamber of Tourism and Commerce (KVCTC) was established in 2009. It is the longest-serving business advocate in Kangaroo Valley. We are a volunteer, non-profit Incorporated Association that aims to support local businesses and to grow the local economy. Members pay an annual fee which funds the activities of the Chamber. The KVCTC Committee meet on a regular basis to work on an agenda of projects and issues which affect local businesses. View the KVCTC Constitution.

OBJECTIVES

  • Promote Kangaroo Valley as a visitor destination and improve visitation duration.
  • Promote the preservation of the area.
  • Promote members’ business, services and events.
  • Keep members abreast of changes in government policy.
  • Prepare information for members that may assist them in the running of their business.
  • Advocate for local businesses at local, state and government levels.
  • Source funding that helps assist members in business development and destination marketing.
  • Increase membership each year and members’ participation in Chamber activities.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • #1 Google listing for the search term Kangaroo Valley.
  • 500,000+ Hits on the tourism website.
  • 10,000+ social media followers.
  • Developed paid role to deliver marketing & admin support.
  • Obtained significant grants to promote Kangaroo Valley.
  • Delivered Christmas Markets and provided village decorations for the duration of the festive season.
  • Created and printed news village guide maps and visitor information brochures
  • Free digital marketing sessions for members
  • Prepared and submitted an entry into the NSW Top Town Tourism Awards. Successful Bronze prize with national press coverage.
